The first stop was was Gullfoss (waterfall) probably the most popular waterfall in Iceland (due to its proximity to Reykjavik and its closeness to the other popular spots in the Golden circle tours). If you use instagram you probably would have seen many more pictures of Kirkjufellsfoss (the waterfall with the mountain in the back), Skogafoss (the waterfall everyone stands in front of), Seljalandsfoss (the waterfall you can walk behind) and you may have even seen Dettifoss in the movie Prometheus.
I had to ride back to the bus with bleeding cuts dripping down my legs. We then drove back to Reykjavik to end the tour.
The tour was definitely worth doing for the ride through Thingvelir plains. You also got to hear a lot of interesting historical information from the tour guides which was especially useful as it was my first trip to the area.
